Hello,
L2 client adjusts the entire computers brightness and gamma, it's not an issue in fullscreen. However when you want to play windowed or with a second screen it becomes quite straining.
There is a known fix for this, but requires editing the l2.ini file.
Would it be perhaps possible to do this for the entire server?
It would save people decoding the files on their own and most importantly, our eyes.
You basically just change this in the l2.ini file:
brightness=0.800000 contrast=0.700000 gamma=0.800000
to this:
brightness=0.500000 contrast=0.500000 gamma=1.000000
Or you can play with the values until it works correctly.
Thank you for your time 🙂

A very quick google search when I noticed the problem. Turned up this: https://l2classic.club/forum/topic/21217-l2-gamma-and-brightness-problem-fix/
Tried it on my own, but can't manage to encode the files with only the help of google as well. So I thought perhaps your team would just be more capable to look into it.
Let me hijack the thread. While at it, also change/authorize [CharacterDisplay], which has gone down from 10,000 units to mere 1,000 units in the last update, meaning cahracter name (including whether it is clan war or not) is displayed partically within striking distance only.
Lil alurl! For Shar!

I second this, can we a get a fix with the next patch? If you force update game client (from 10.11.2020) to get it working after the DDOS attacks, display range of NPC and player names gets significantly reduced.
